Common best practices in spatial
planning for the promotion of sustainable POLYcentric DEVelopment -
POLY.DEV.
PolyDev : polycentric development in CADSES regions
.....................................................................................
POLY.DEV experiments and validates the application of forecasting patterns
and strategies for sustainable and policentric spatial planning towards
ESDP,
ESPON and CEMAT principles.
This by means of:
- studying how to lead land development towards patterns outlined in ESDP,
ESPON and CEMAT, in order to avoid extreme polarization around few centres
and marginalisation of the peripheral areas and to manage natural and
cultural heritage in a balanced way through participative decision making
processes;
- developing pilot actions in different CADSES target areas (rural, urban,
coastal and cross border), providing conditions of equal accessibility
to infrastructures both for mobility and for knowledge diffusion;
- ensuring scientific methodological approach and quality of outputs with
an international Scientific and Technical Committee;
- mainstreaming of processes and results throughout lifelong of project
at different levels (from local to European) targeting at different actors
interested.
